Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren opened their shop at 430 King's Road, London, in 1971, and dressed the birth of punk.
She went on to rework British history, tartan, corsetry and pirate swagger into collections both radical and romantic. Her orb logo still stands for rebellion with impeccable tailoring.
